OUR STORY
Abundant Life Church began in the home of Tony and Pam Roberts in December 2005 with eight people present. From that humble beginning the members moved to a storefront at Thompson Plaza in March 2006. From there the congregation walked across Kent Dairy Road on January 4, 2009 and made the present location their new home. Abundant Life Church is a body of Christian believers dedicated to continuing the work that was started by Jesus Christ and his disciples. We believe we are living the continuation of the Book of Acts. We also believe that as born again followers of Christ, we can experience the same power that was demonstrated on the Day of Pentecost. Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International. If the congregation of Abundant Life Church can assist you or your family in any way, we stand willing to help, and if you do not have a regular place of worship, we invite you to join us.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
God and Jesus christ
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16, 1 John 5:7 .)
The Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)
Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)
Repentance
We believe that all people are called to repent – it is God’s will that no one perish, but everyone come to repentance. Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Jesus fully. (See Acts 2:38, Luke 13:3, Acts 3:19)
Water Baptism
We believe that following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, new believers are commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in Jesus name. Water baptism is an act of obedience which signifies our union with Jesus in death to sin, burial of the old nature, and resurrection to new life. (See Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Acts 2:38)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today and that the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues is the privilege and promise of all believers. (See John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Isaiah 28:11, Mark 16:17, Acts 1:8)

Abundant Life Church provides a quality, high energy environment in our Sunday school department for children of all ages.
Our services are contemporary and upbeat. Guests and members alike are encouraged to praise and worship God in any way they feel comfortable.
What will happen when I visit the first time?
First you will be greeted by our welcome team. They will assist you in finding a seat and making you familiar with the facilities. As a token of our appreciation, all first time guests receive a welcome gift.
We do receive an offering. There is never a pressured appeal for money.
Abundant Life Church has several ministries in which you can be involved. Simply speak to one of our volunteers on a Sunday and they will point you in the right direction. We believe everyone has something they can do in the church.
